Why
Genesis
More Than a Watch! We were thinking about a watch and time, and how the watch moves in the time. We tried to understand the mood, the movement, the speed. We realised that the time and the way we perceive time are often disjointed. We decided to construct a device that is the time.
We found the right balance between technology, science and emotions. It is the Colour Timer. The in-built mechanical movement triggers chemical reactions and electric impulses that change the colour of the watch face. The time and the way we show the time are the same.

Finish! We made it. A combination of initial inspiration, the ideas, the conversations we had and observations of the World. And the skills of our team. Made it happen.
This is a unique object, nonesuch exists. It is precise, it is scientific and it shows the time as perceived. It is the Colour timer.

It is not about technology! It is about what it means, how it represents itself. It has to work but it has to be invisible. That is that guidance we gave to our designers

Technology
Unique Approach
We moulded and twisted the material like never before. The special compound we use is known by NASA and use for aeronautics. But: it is highly perishable under normal atmospheric circumstances. We had to change that. And we made it happen: it lasts. It drills, bends, reflects and works.
Our Designer
Is Design Dead?
No. This is Ferdinand. Ferdinand is our chief designer. On LinkedIn: there is a long list of Schools of Arts, Designer Colleges and Universities he did attended. And the industry and art awards he collected. But frankly said, that does not matter. What matters is that he is not Bob. He was a lead who conceptualised the idea of Colour, he was the key engine behind the development and our success. We love him and bought him a mountainbike to slim down.

Our team spent several winter seasons testing this unique solar mechanism in the most extreme conditions. the initial titanium construction proofed to volatile, laminate was too fragile, carbon not precise. At the end we had to create our own material: carbolit. And it worked.

We need superb skills at all levels and all steps of the process. This is Rebecca. She has developed the unique way and architected the production process that is nowhere else to be found.
